CHRISTMAS DAY BATTLE, PART 1

TinkerBell and all related characters ©Disney.

Belle, the magical muscle girl formerly known as TinkerBell, was slightly slumped down, as she rested her eyes.  This was one situation she'd never thought she would be in. She and Mike's holiday vacation had turned into a disaster. Captured by the pirates of the Jolly Roger, tied up and held until a vengeful retribution was carried out by the captain, who professed to be Captain Hook's son, whose mother is a descendant of her friend, Wendy Darling. Not like it was at the turn of the twentieth century, when she and the girls were captured by Hook and his crew, while getting the blue pixie dust back. Back then, they had not too much of a hard time escaping, but now because of her new powers, somehow the blue dust was negating her magic and physical strength, rendering them inactive. She struggled to get out of the ropes, but to no avail. Being woven too thick, she was pretty much out of luck, until she sensed something on the side of her.

"Belle," someone whispered, "are you awake?"

Her hearing piqued at the tiny voice speaking to her. "Zarina, is that you?" she whispered back.

"Yep," she replied softly, "we're gonna try to get you out."

"Where's Vidia?"

"She's tending to Mike, Queen Clarion's gone to get Peri."

"Queen Clarion?" she whispered back in shock, "why did she decide to come?"

"She felt it was her responsibility that you all were captured by the pirates, and she set aside her crown to come help free you two."

Belle knew that Queen Clarion will go to great lengths to protect the fairies and sparrowmen of Pixie Hollow, but this is above and beyond her call of duty. To the former tinker fairy, she now has more respect than ever for the one she called queen.

Zarina tried various ways to loosen the thick rope, but no luck ensued. Looking at things from a different angle, she noticed that the rope led to something near the side of the boat. She knew the Jolly Roger like the back of her tiny hand, but was surprised at where it was attatched to.

Mike slumped as well, until he felt a tiny pair of hands touching his arms while tied up. He wondered who it was. "Who is it?" he whispered, making sure not to wake the sleeping pirate on duty.

"It's me, Vidia," whispered the fast flyer in reply, "I almost got you free."

"You're a lifesaver, Vidia," he whispered back, as he felt his hands getting more and more loose. Vidia then flew up to his ear.

"Keep your hands bound, though the ropes are loose so you can slip out," she advised, "Queen Clarion should be here with Periwinkle in a minute."

Shock adorned his face. "What made the queen want to come?"

"She wants to help, and  she's doing good so far," and as soon as she said that, a silent zip happened, and when Mike looked down, there was the ruler of Pixie Hollow standing before him, with the frost fairy in her arms.

"Queen Clarion-" he muttered, but was cut off by her.

"Hurry, Michael," she said softly, "Periwinkle doesn't have much time."

Mike slowly, and silently, worked his hands out of the rope, then took off his coat. Making sure he didn't disturb the sleeping crewman standing over him, he laid the coat over the frost fairy. With that out of the way, now comes the hard part.

Closing his eyes, he tried to recall the words of the spell that Hook almost used on him, in an altered way. He concentrated hard as to remember the exact words, but kept thinking of the wrong syllables. The thoughts coursed through his head, but every sequence didn't sound right. He only had one shot to get it right, or risk Periwinkle's demise.

He cursed himself inwardly, as the syllables kept getting mangled up, and not sounding right. It indeed was a difficult incantation to memorize. And just when he was going to get up, the words he thought were wrong, began to make sense. He closed his eyes, and slowly recited the spell, word for word.

"E-solan-dro, cosmino-trio, in-drin-oko, remo-vao, osaong." Huffing a frustrated sigh, the queen listened to him say those words, the same words that his father used to save TinkerBell's life nearly five months ago.

Suddenly, sparkles could be seen under the coat, as the frost fairy's body grew to human size, with the only noticable change being, her ears becoming rounded from their pointy state. Belle glanced over, as she witnessed her sister being transformed, just as she had. She smiled a bit, a tear streaming down her cheek.

"Peri," she whispered, as Clarion flew to Periwinkle's face, and left an imprint on her now colored cheek.

"Thank God it worked," he muttered silently, "as long as she's cured, that all that matters-"

"I beg to differ, my boy," said a voice from beside him, that made him shudder. Gazing up, he was met with the pointed sword of Ronalde Hook, in his face. "She will survive, but you will not," with a grim smirk on his face, "if I have anything to say about it."

With his only eye focused on the blade of the saber at his nose, Mike didn't flinch, not once. He'd been through this before, with that knucklehead Jerome. Belle watched the interaction between the two from her vantage point, and immediately, her temper started to rise and boil. Every fairy and sparrowman in Pixie Hollow knew about her reputation of being a 'hothead' at times. Mostly, it was out of defense of a friend, or some wrong done to her, in which she sees that it was her fault in the end. Her defense of her boyfriend in school became part of her nature. She and Mike are connected in a way that reflected their destiny, just as she and Periwinkle are, due to being the first ever twin sister fairies in all of Never Land. Now, the twins were identical in size, due to the magical disease that nearly killed them, months apart.

***********

Inside the captain's quarters, Zarina zipped around, looking for those items from their last adventure and confrontation with the pirates. Before James captured her in that lantern, she hid them from view, she only knowing where they were. Looking under one of the planks, she found the satchel.

"This ought to be of some help," she smiled, thinking back to that battle. The way it went about was pretty funny, but not this time. The stakes were higher, and a mortal's life and freedom depended on it.

Slowly opening the peep door, the alchemist gazed around to see what was happening. And it brought a shock of anger to her pretty
face.

Three of the crewmen were positioned, one next to Belle, the other two around Mike, who was guarding the unconscious, now full-sized human, frost fairy. She also noticed that Queen Clarion hid inside his coat, that covered Periwinkle, while Vidia was under the collar.

"Just...let them go," Mike muttered through clenched teeth, "they've done nothing wrong, it's me you want."

Ronalde gave a thoughtful look. "Okay, but first," as he kicked Mike in the chest, trying to shove him off top of Peri, "I want to see this specimen of a fairy, who is now human," as he leaned in to gaze at her cute face, but the mortal made his way back to the fairy's side, acting as her protector. He grimaced at the pain that coursed through him.

"I said, let them go!" he said again, clenching his teeth in anger, "nothing more!"

The captain didn't take lightly to any kind of insubordination, the mean look evident on his face. He acted just like his father, when that ordeal happened eight years ago. As he gazed down at her in curiosity, he was enamored by her cuteness. Then a smirk crept across his face.

"Maybe I should keep this one for myself," he gestured in an evil-type tone, that made Mike want to lash out.

"If you harm her in any way-" he seethed, before Ronalde stabbed his nose with the tip of his saber.

"Or what?" he verbally stabbed, "I have all the cards now, and you can't do jack," he smirked, "except...see your girlfriend drown." Mike's eye grew wide, as well as Clarion, Vidia and Zarina, who was hiding behind a barrel.

I should've know, she cursed to herself, regretting not telling Belle of his intentions. then, The words she feared, came out of his mouth.

"Smee," he said, "drop anchor."

"Yes sir," as he released the hold on the rope, as it quickly uncoiled and the big SPLASH! was heard overboard. Before Belle knew it, she was being dragged along with it, with nothing to hold on to.

"MIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKK-" she screamed as she went overboard and made the big splash into the waters of the Never Land Sea.

"BEEEELLLLLLLLLEEEEEE!" he cried out, powerless to do anything. It sent the queen, fast flyer and alchemist into a shock, to see their friend meet her demise. Zarina used the opportunity of distraction to make her way over to the mortal and now human fairy. The grief that the mortal felt was overwhelming, knowing he was the cause of his magical girlfriend's death. Mike gritted his teeth and gazed up at the captain, with a angry glare.

"Why," he asked angrily through his teeth, "you had what you wanted, WHY!?" his voice getting louder.

Ronalde bent down, and stared the teen in the eye. "Because that's what I want to do, you bitch," he snarled, "and I know how to exact revenge for my father." Mike stared in anger. "For every one thing you did to him, you will lose."

Mike furrowed his brow, as Vidia and Clarion, in their hiding places, and Zarina, behind the barrel, seethed with anger.

"Smee," he said, "my longsword," as he handed the first mate his saber, and in return, he received his father's longsword, still as sharp as it was all those years ago, when he plundered parts of Never Land. It shone bright in the midnight moonlight, as the reflection on its blade was clear. It had been definitely kept up.

He raised the blade and held it in his hand, feeling its sharpness. He gazed down at Mike, as a grim smile curled up on his youthful face.

"Now," he said with evil intent, "where should I start?" as he placed the blade under one of Mike's arms, particularly the one protecting Periwinkle.

************

Descending fast, Belle tried to wiggle herself out of the large ropes that bound her, but with her strength severely negated, she had no chance. And the weight of the anchor pulling her down ever so faster, along with the large chain, there was no escape. A minute later, the anchor finally hit something, stopping the magical muscle girl's oceanic descent. Belle is not one to give up, no matter the circumstances, as she tried to think of a way out of this situation. Closing her eyes, she concentrated on a solution, until her enhanced hearing picked up something, and it was not good. In fact, it began to make her angry. Very angry.

************

"I think I know," he muttered, as he started to lift the sword up Mike's armpit, going through his shirt like paper, "I remember someone telling me that the croc that ate my father's hand was nurtured by a fairy friend of your girlfriend's," he said thoughtfully, though the voice was full of malice.

"Rosetta," muttered Vidia, she remembers that episode well. When trying to get the blue pixie dust back, Zarina used modified dust to switch their talents for a time, making Rosetta an animal talent fairy. The baby croc they found that hatched on the shore, took a liking to the temporarily former garden talent fairy, and turned out to be a great help against the pirates.

"From what I heard, as the croc grew," he continued, "he chased after him for a meal, am I right?" he looked pointedly at his captive.

"How should I know?" he asked, as Ronalde moved the sword up into his armpit, cutting into his skin. Mike winced in pain, feeling the muscle being sliced, and the blood trickle down.

"Because," he snarled, "your fairy friend helped that croc grow, and when it was big enough and caught up to him, he lost his right hand," moving the sword more up his arm, causing more pain. "So, for that," with his continued snarl, "you lose more than your hand," with a fluid swiping motion, separated his left arm from his body, cutting clean through. Mike yelled out in shocking pain, as his arm fell to his side. Blood leaked from his appendage, muscle fiber and bone showing in the most gruesome way. From where the queen and fast flyer hid, they have never seen anything like it. As Zarina watched, it brought a tear streaming down her cheek, as she made her way beside Vidia.

"Ronalde is going to pay," she muttered, as she handed her a small sword, the same one they used in that battle with the young James Hook long ago.

"What are we gonna do?" she asked.

"Deja vu," she said, as she made her way over to Queen Clarion. As she gave her a sword, she gazed at her in grief.

"He's suffered too much," she mused, as Zarina shook her out of her stasis.

"Don't worry," she said, "we're about to act now," touching the tip of her sword, "let's go." With that, and a nod to Vidia, the three made themselves known. The crew was caught off guard as they flew around, wielding their little swords.

"Hey," said the tall crewman, "I remember you!" pointing to Zarina, "you 'were' our captain," he grinned, "I been meaning to get back at 'cha!" as he started swatting at her, missing her every time.

"Why you-" said the other one, short with a patch over his left eye, "you came back for more, eh?" brandishing his sword and waiting for Vidia to make another pass. Ronalde became amused by it all, realizing it was just a distraction, while Mike tried to recover from his excruciating pain. Suddenly, another fairy appeared in front of the captain, this one different from the others. He looked up with a weary eye.

"Queen...Clarion," he muttered, as the young captain took note of what he just said. Then, it clicked. The grin never left his face.

"Ah," he said knowingly, "the queen of the fairies, I presume?" as he took a bow before her in the mirror of his father's grace. Queen Clarion gazed at him, anger filled her expression. He continued with his faux charm. "I suppose you want to free him, yes?" She nodded.

His looked went back to that of madness. "Not until I've taken my revenge," he snarled, as he pointed his already bloody saber at his right leg. Running the blade around his thigh, the tip tore into his blue jeans and pierced his skin. And he again winced, as the captain continued with his vengeful tirade.

"Another thing one of the guys told me, is about the last time they seen my father alive," gazing down at Mike, who looked over at him in anger. "As your father, Peter Pan, was fighting mine, word was that you undid the hinges that held the croc in his upright cage." The tip pressed into the muscle, as Mike tried to hold back from crying. "The croc was freed, and the first thing it did, was head to him," he snarled, as the blade made its way into his upper thigh, nearing the top of the femur. "When Peter Pan got my father into position, the croc simply...engulfed him," saying darkly, the immensely sharp blade tearing through the bone, and making its way down through. "And for that..." he swiped the blade upwards, severing his right leg, as it dropped to the floor. Mike yelled again, louder than before, as the blood flowed from the stub that was made. His breath started to labor, as Queen Clarion squeezed her eyes shut, tears cascading down her cheeks. Zarina and Vidia stopped as soon as they heard the cry, and their hearts shattered.

************

In the depths of the ocean, Belle's anger mounted, after hearing the first cry. But after hearing the second, she shut her eyes, as her face turned red. Not just her face but her upper body, as it grew bigger than before. With every breath, her arms and torso expanded, increasing her size; gritting her teeth, the thoughts of her boyfriend and the sacrifices he made, and is making, for her and her sister, drove her fury. Clenching her fists, her arms and chest got bigger, with veins appearing on her traps and biceps. Her thighs got growth as well, the thick rope and chain proving no match for her physical increase. Finally, she broke free from her bonds, with a cry that couldn't be heard underwater. Opening her eyes, nothing could be seen, except white. She was now beyond furious, as she slightly steamed up the water, slowly making her ascent to the ship.

************

Ronalde grinned at his handiwork. He singlehandedly cowed the son of Peter Pan, and exacted revenge for his father. Mike felt a tear sting his eye, as the pain from losing two limbs hit his mind, and the loss of blood brought him closer to unconsciousness. The only thing he could think of, was the protection of the magical human underneath him. The three fairies were powerless to do anything; the damage has been done. The captain bowed his head.

"I hope I have avenged you well, father," he whispered, then gazing down to the teen boy in anger, "you can die now," he seethed, as he took his boot, and pressed into Mike's chest, knocking the wind out of him, then to his face, slightly crushing his nose. "Just as I won't see my father again, neither will you see yours," pressing harder into his face, nearly cutting off his circulation. Releasing his pressure, Mike tried hard to breathe, and had enough energy to roll over to his original position, over Periwinkle. Looking down at her, his scarred, defeated face, met her beautiful, peaceful one.

"I...tried...to...protect...you," he uttered hoarsely, "I...failed...I let...your sister...die..." a tear stung his eye, "I...failed...Pixie...Hollow..." the tear rolling down his cheek, "please...for...give...me-" it dropped onto Periwinkle's face, as he passed out from exhaustion and loss of blood.

Queen Clarion, Zarina and Vidia shed tears for their friend, yet as always in Never Land, it isn't over until it's over.
